Our Story
We Smile began with one family’s journey.
After experiencing the challenges of raising a child with autism while navigating cultural expectations, language barriers, and limited community support, we realized many immigrant families were facing the same struggles silently.
Families often lacked:
- Information about autism
- Access to services
- Emotional support
- Representation in their communities
- Culturally sensitive resources
We Smile was created to ensure no family feels alone.
Our goal is to build a compassionate community where children with disabilities can thrive and families feel empowered, informed, and connected.
Our Mission
To support children with autism and disabilities and empower immigrant families through advocacy, education, culturally inclusive programs, and community support.
Our Vision
We envision communities where:
- Children with disabilities are fully included
- Families feel supported and respected
- Autism awareness reaches underserved communities
- Cultural and language barriers no longer prevent families from accessing help
